Nancy O'Dell's professional career started in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and reporter for news at WPDE-TV. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. The work of O'Dell in Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these instances. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with an award for the Best Report of the year award for every aspect of South Carolina media. Following her stint living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as anchor for NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV as well as an investigative journalist. She then was hired by Access Hollywood to work as the weekend and weekday correspondent. In addition, she serves as co-anchor for Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's been a reporter for the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted numerous pre-show arrivals show to The Emmys And The Golden Globes. Co-hosted The Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
